Aerial Yoga for Beginners

Interested in Aerial Yoga but want to try it out before you commit to a whole course of classes?
Then this introductory class is for you! Please read right to the end of the description.

You will be signing up to one class £13. Booking with payment is essential to keep your place.
Refunds cannot be offered for any reason.

Please be sure to choose the correct date and time slot when booking your place as we have lots of these taster classes on the schedule at the moment.

Booking is essential – only limited places available.

Some yoga experience is essential; ideally please attend at least 6-10 conventional (terrestrial) yoga classes first. This will help your body to move freely and prepare your coordination and improve your strength (these classes don’t have to be with us!).

This class is not suitable for pregnancy, people who have epilepsy, glaucoma or for those with uncontrolled high blood pressure. If you have any questions about the suitability of this course please don’t hesitate to ask.
Why Aerial Yoga?
Aerial yoga is an assisted yoga class. The hammock will support you, some people describe this as making the postures feel ‘easier’…especially standing. The hammock adds the facet of being able to use your arms to steady yourself in standing and balance postures.

It also encourages spinal alignment by stretching up and reaching overhead. From this perspective some people say the postures feel ‘deeper’ or ‘stronger’…you are encouraged to do what you feel comfortable with and build confidence from practice in using the hammocks.

Once seated or lying in the hammock you will feel (almost) weightless too! With the feet off the floor, you can also progress to being inverted or upside down (not essential!).
